REFLECTION
Experience
When I first went to class, I felt rather nervous since I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to follow the lessons. But after a few weeks of classes, I was able to get a better understanding on how the projects on this module will go on. I was also surprised that I was able to pick up a lot of skills on how to operate the Adobe software, since I was new to using Adobe. Though there is still room for error, since I have not yet mastered my skills on Adobe.
Throughout this semester, in this module I have come to appreciate the importance of typography. I realized that there was much more typography around us. I have also come to notice that designing or working with typography was not an easy task. Though, I have enjoyed the process of working with typography and I have also learned a lot more rules that needs to be adapted when we are working or designing with typography. I can't wait to learn more about typography and to improve my skills to become better at typography.
Observations
During the 14 weeks that I have learned about typography, I have noticed some lacking features I have that needs to be worked on more. One of the things that I lacked was my technical skills in general. Although I have learned a lot about the different tools and also how to operate them, I just can't seem to get it right. But, I have also noticed that one of the most efficient way that I can get better at my technical skills is by experimenting. I realized when I was making the tasks given, I was able to pick up the knowledge better if I kept practicing and experimenting it over and over again. Though if I could do something earlier on the module is to spare more time to explore the software and experiment more on how to use the tools. Because even though I was able to quickly pick-up skills, I did not spare enough time to do so. So to get better at my technical skills, I will try to spare more time to experiment with the software tools,
Findings
This module has taught me a lot about the rules that is needed to create good typography, how to make a text connect to the headline, etc. I have also learned that I can improve my technical skills better by experimenting a lot in my spare time. So far, I have been trying to spare some time to improve on my technical skills by practicing every time I get to.
