Mural Competition

(06/10/2024) D-DAY OF MURAL COMPETITION

MURAL CONCEPT : UNITY IN DIVERSITY

We went by car to Atrium, The Starhill for the competition. We were stoked through out the car ride, can't wait to attend our very first competition together.

When we arrived, we immediately find the place where the competition is being held on.

After we arrived, we took our seat and listened to the briefing first. Then we quickly did a last minute discussion over the design and sketch we prepared.

Right after the discussion, we were told to get our supplies. We were given art boards, two A2 size papers, and also some color pencils.

We quickly set up our equipment and materials to make it easier and much more efficient to access later when the competition timer starts.

When the timer started, we immediately sketched our idea, helped each other, and worked together side by side.

After we finished sketching, we divided ourselves into 2 groups and started coloring to make it easier. We worked together until then end of the timer.

This is our finished mural, it was a very fun and intense experience. We were able to do some team building activity too, since it requires us to work together side by side. We did our best with the time given, and we were happy with it.

We also got to see our other competitors final design during the break time and they were incredible. Every group had a unique and different idea for their murals and all of them are excellent works!

It was finally time for Ms. Anis to announce the final top 3. Sadly, we didn't win. Maybe some other time we can win. But, this was still a very eye-opening and happy experience!

Right after the competition ended we had some time left, so we browsed around the gallery. The gallery was clear and the visuals in the posters were amazing. The information given was complete and easy to understand. These are some pictures I took at the gallery.
