PROJECT 1 : WEB REDESIGN PROPOSAL

We were assigned to make a proposal about the website we are going to redesign. From the original website we were told to include a analysis, our redesigning goals, the proposal, and what can we do to enhance the UX (User Experience) of the original website.

For this project, I made it using Canva for the PPT and Adobe Illustrator for the wireframes. The website that I chose to redesign is ADX STUDIO. As for the wireframes, I used the rectangle tool, line tool, shape builder tool, rounded rectangle tool, and added some texts too for context. Though for the size of the artboard, I used a template to mark the artboard for a better layout. [source]

Mr. Shamsul told me to fix the wireframes I presented since it lacks in a few parts. He also recommended me to explore more references with other websites. Lastly, he told me to elaborate a few parts of the proposal more.

The first thing I did was to look into more references and sources [source]. Then I sketched my wireframe and refined it in Adobe Illustrator. After that I fixed my proposal on some parts.

REFLECTION

When we were firstly told about the task that we had to do, I personally think that it would be quite fun. Maybe it is because I have never really gotten a good understanding of what it really takes to make a website. Though when I started making it, it took a bit more time for me to understand than I expected but it was still fun learning about it.

In this task, I noticed that I was unorganized when it comes to organizing a large sum of elements since the wireframe file looks very messy when I completed it. During the task, there is a significant difference between the time me and my peers take to understand something. I do think that I could have organized the task better, just so that it is more efficient and easier to see.

Through this task, I was able to learn about a lot of things. I was able to improve on my skills when using Illustrator, I gotten a better understanding on how to make wireframes and what elements that I should include to make the user experience better. Lastly, I do think that I take quite some time to do something compared to my peers, which I need to fix by making more time to understand something.
